About the Recipe
Harissa chicken is a Tunisian inspired receipe served with rice creates a bold, spicy and flavourful dish.

Ingredients
1.5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon harissa paste
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teasppon black pepper
750g chicken breast cut into cubes
Rice for serving
Mint for garnish
Lime wedges for serving
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, harissa, garlic, paprike, cumin, salt & pepper. Add the chicken to the spice mix and mix well to incorporate. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight..
Step 2
Heat a large skillet on medium heat without any oil, then transfer the chicken from the bowl to the skillet. Cook until the chicken is well done, about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked squeeze some fresh lime juice on top of the chicken.
Step 3
Serve over rice with lime wedges and fresh mint, if desired. Due to spice level, plain yoghurt also works well with this recipe.
